Reasons of Rejection of DIN application
- Name of Applicant or of his father is written in short or abbreviated form. Even if name is written in short forms in identity proof, full name should be mentioned while making application for allotment of DIN number or,
- Prefixes like Mr. / Ms. / Kumari / Shri etc. are used with the applicant’s name. Please do not write any such prefixes before the name of applicant or your application may get rejected or,
- Residence proof such as bank statement, electricity bill, telephone bill or utility bills are older than 2 months from the date of application of allotment of DIN number or,
- Residence proofs are in name of some other person for example spouse, father etc. or,
- Validity period of Passport, Driving license or other identification proofs have been expired or,
- The supporting documents are not duly attested i.e. Name, Designation, Membership/ Practicing certificate number etc. are not clearly mentioned. – If the seal/ stamp does not contain membership/ practicing certificate number, the same may be recorded by hand or,
- Mismatch in the name of applicant or name of father of applicant from what is mentioned in the identity proofs. Minor deviation in the father’s name may be accepted if such deviation or change does not affect the name materially.
